Air Traffic Control Tower, Fort Drum

JPS, LLP is the Structural and Geotechnical Engineer of Record for the new Air Traffic Control Tower at Wheeler Sack Airfield at Fort Drum Army Base. This 160-foot-tall structure is constructed with load bearing precast concrete wall panels. The tower sits on a large mat foundation. The structure is designed per Department of Defense building code standards and the applicable Anti-Terrorism Force Protection requirements for standoff and progressive-collapse resistance.
