Albany Medical Center Expansion

JPS, LLP Geotechnical engineers were engaged to design support of excavation work next to the existing hospital and patient tower for a major expansion. We designed a tied-back secant wall in lieu of underpinning to the patient tower foundation. Tied back sheet piling was installed next to the hospital. Tied back soldier piles and lagging were installed for the rest of the excavation. JPS, LLP engineers also designed ground movement monitoring and dewatering for the project.
