Immediate opening for a Principal Geo-Structural Engineer to direct and assist a group of Geotechnical and Structural Engineers in the design of foundations, walls, support of excavations, deep foundations, ground improvement, slope stability, and special projects. John P. Stopen Engineering, LLP, a 50-year-old organization providing Structural and Geotechnical Engineering services, is accepting applications for a Structural Intern position. Working as part of a team, the Intern will have direct exposure to and participate in the practice of structural engineering. Tasks will include field trips to local construction sites of projects in which the firm is involved. Intern to be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with completion through Junior year.

Immediate opportunity for Senior Structural Engineer with minimum 10 years of engineering and project management experience. Candidates are to be self-motivated, be proficient in the analysis and design of various structure types, and have established supervisory skills. Firm ownership potential, dependent upon success in the position.

Immediate opportunity for Geotechnical Engineer. 1- 5 years experience. Good written and verbal skills. Exploration field work, geotechnical reports. Slope stability analyses. Some travel likely.

Immediate opportunity for Structural Drafter. Assignments will include completion of structural and geotechnical construction drawings from general design and engineering information provided by engineering staff. Responsibilities and duties of this position include: production of structural and geotechnical construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit, coordination with engineers regarding solutions for complex detailing issues, and participation in the maintenance of detail library and standards.
